What Charlie Doesn't Know
The Jim Davis campaign on Monday began a weeklong review of Charlie Crist's occasional problem with the details. First up: Crist telling the Palm Beach Post editorial board he did not know when the FCAT was given, and Crist acknowledging at a 2001 Cabinet meeting that he did not know the name of the test preceding the FCAT.
"Charlie Crist’s blunders may explain why he is reluctant to appear in public to talk about the issues with his Democratic opponent," the Davis campaign writes. "In the six weeks since the general election began, Crist has ducked every opportunity to appear on the same stage as Davis."
Not to be outdone, the Republican Party has steadily questioned Davis' record on taxes and also turned attention on his running mate, Daryl Jones. Today the party said that in 1994, Jones was the "only state senator to vote against legislation that prohibits the purchase of certain audio-visual and electronic equipment with dollars from the Inmate Welfare Trust Fund."
