Where's the Answers, Charlie?
Florida's Aging with Dignity -- the bipartisan group started by Jim Towey, a former Lawton Chiles aide who went on to work for George W. Bush's faith-based initiative -- criticized Charlie Crist Wednesday for not answering their questionnaire on end-of-life issues for seniors.
Crist's campaign used the same strategy it did with the Christian Coalition before the primary. Rather than answering specific questions "support" or "oppose", Crist's campaign sent a broad statement and a copy of a policy paper.
"Unfortunately, we don't know where Charlie Crist stands because he hasn't answered the questions," said Paul Malley, the group's president. "Congressman (Jim) Davis has clearly stated his support of the path pioneered by Gov. (Jeb) Bush who has understood the needs to safeguard the rights of Florida's most vulnerable residents."
