Who wants to be a millionaire? Vote!

That's the slogan of a ballot initiative being pushed by a political gadfly in Arizona - one he thinks can spread to the two dozen states, including Florida, that allow citizen ballot measures. The idea, which is the subject of a front-page story in today's New York Times, would award $1-million to one voter in a general election. All you have to do is show up and vote.

The man behind it already has enough signatures for the November ballot. Some see it as a tacky ploy that undermines the democratic process, and it may not pass legal muster. But others say it is worth trying.
