Why Debbie Wasserman Schultz's Democrats flip flopped on 'Obamacare'

ofaxxxx_like_obama_care_grey_tee_1.jpgLast year, U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to get the word "Obamacare" banned from debate on the House floor.

"That is a disparaging reference to the president of the United States; it is meant as a disparaging reference to the president of the United States, and it is clearly in violation of the House rules against that," she said in February, when the House took up a move to defund the health care law.

Outside the Supreme Court this week, however, people are carrying signs they love Obamacare. The flip flop is a strategy by the Obama campaign to embrace the term.

"It’s called Obamacare because the President cares," reads the description accompanying a $30 T-shirt being sold on Obama's re-election website.

The AP explores the change of heart here.
