Will Gov. Charlie Crist's decision deflate Sine Die ceremony?
The final hanky drop at the Sine Die ceremony is a time-honored tradition between the House and Senate and attended by the governor at the end of each legislative session.
But top GOP lawmakers are considering not participating this year for one reason: Charlie Crist.
He takes the air from the room, they believe, and they don't want to give him the opportunity. House Speaker Larry Cretul dodged questions about the topic this morning, saying no decision has been made yet. "I don't think there's been any serious discussion on any of that," he said. "We'll just have to see how it comes to a conclusion."
It might depend on whether Crist returns to Tallahassee after his announcement in St. Petersburg today.
