Winner and loser of the week in Fla politics
I was out of pocket this weekend and neglected to post the latest winner/loser of week in Fla politics from yesterday's Tampa Bay Times:
Winner of the week: Sandy Adams. Locked in a tough GOP primary against U.S. Rep. John Mica for an Orlando-area congressional seat, Adams picked up a big-time endorsement that should help her tea party appeal. Sarah
Palin gave her first U.S. House endorsement of the year: "Unlike her opponent, Sandy is free from the shackles of lobbyists and back-door dealings in Washington."
Loser of the week: Bill Nelson. The latest Times/Herald/Bay News 9 poll finds Florida's Democratic U.S. senator with an abysmal favorable rating — 36 percent — with chief rival Connie Mack close on his heels. Independent Republican groups intend to spend millions of dollars attacking Nelson on TV. His string of easy re-elections is over
