Winner of the week: George LeMieux. Plenty of people are all but writing off LeMieux's U.S. Senate prospects because of his longstanding ties to Charlie Crist. But LeMieux unveiled a strong finance team, and has a dozen U.S. senators helping him raise money in Washington. Way too early to write him off.

Loser of the week: Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Among the recent observations of the south Florida congresswoman and new Democratic National Committee Chairwoman: The GOP's Medicare plan "would literally be a death trap to some seniors" and would throw younger Americans "to the wolves." Oh, and Republicans "want to literally drag us back to Jim Crow laws" and are waging "war on women." Time to dial it back a notch or three congresswoman. Literally.
