Winner and loser of the week in Fla politics
Winner of the week: Barack Obama and Rick Scott. Florida's unemployment rate fell to its lowest rate in three years, 9.4 percent. The president and governor may be ideologically incompatible, but their political futures are both riding on improving perceptions of the economy.
Loser of the week: Connie Mack. For the second time in six weeks, Connie Mack finished in last place in a straw poll of conservative activists who heard all the major candidates talk. Could he be the Mitt Romney of Florida's Senate race - the heavy frontrunner few Republicans actually like much? Mack also missed voting last week on the Ryan budget plan because he was busy campaigning in Florida.
