The Wisdom of Jeb
Jeb Bush came to Oldsmar in Tampa Bay to talk up Republican accomplishments, and after the event chatted about the state of the Senate race, and the governor's race.
Senate race: "The polls look horrible. Somehow we’ve managed to take the candidate (Bill Nelson) that was considered by national pundits the most vulnerable in the senate and make him one of the safest three months out. Things could change though, and I will support the republican nominee."
Is Charlie Crist beatable in the primary?: "He’s definitely ahead in the polls, but Tom is running an honorable race and wants to finish strong and you never know what will happen in a low turnout primary. I know General Crist is … sincerely working as if he’s 20-points down. I like the fact that both our candidates are battle-tested."
The Democratic gubernatorial candidates: "I think they’re both going to be worthy and tough. I wouldn’t underestimate either one. ...Maybe the best advice (the governor has for Rod Smith and Jim Davis) is to keep doing what they’re doing and carp and criticize, because I think that won’t inspire people to move toward them.''
