Given how tough the Congressional District 13 race has become for Republicans, we're not sure how helpful this is, but President Bush is coming back to Florida Oct. 24 for a $20-per-person fundraiser/rally for Republican Vern Buchanan . This is Katherine Harris' district, so we imagine the Democratic Christine Jennings campaign is praying for a photo of Buchanan side-by-side with Harris and Bush.

Meanwhile, we saw Jennings on the Sarasota waterfront today receiving the Sierra Club's endorsement. Sierra Club Executive Director Carl Pope said nice things about her,  but we didn't catch much. We were watching a ranting, nearby shirtless fellow hurl a nice pair of leather shoes into Sarasota Bay, where they gracefully floated out to sea while Pope and Jennings talked.
