House Speaker Larry Cretul, R-Ocala, added a little self-deprecating fun to the opening-day festivities in the Capitol Tuesday. 

"Over the past year I've been labeled by a few in the press as 'Accidental,' as the 'Grim Reaper,' and one columnist wrote I have the personality of a house plant," Cretul told the House, according to a text of his remarks. "There were a few other names I can't mention in public. The most recent, though, is Barney Rubble, after Fred Flintstone's easygoing neighbor. That's okay, and you'll remember that Barney was the one with the prettier wife."
