Democratic ads try to attach Florida Republicans to Donald Trump
The DCCC is launching a seven-figure national TV ad that will put extra spots in front of voters in districts belonging to Florida Reps. John Mica and Carlos Curbelo.
The Donald Trump-themed ads begin Monday and run through the GOP convention, according to the DCCC. The group said it hasn’t run ads this early before but wants to strike “just as the convention begins and general election voters truly start to engage.”
“Standards” and “Sidekick” will run on CNN, MSNBC and sister networks. The DCCC said 10 House districts were targeted for special attention, including Curbelo’s in Miami and Mica’s in the Orlando area.
Those local buys will run on “lifestyle and entertainment networks, such as HGTV, Hallmark, Food Network, TNT, USA and Bravo. This will be customized and targeted to persuadable voters," the DCCC said.
