Democrats find their candidate for Mike Fasano's seat
Amanda Murphy, an executive with the investment firm Raymond James, is running as a Democrat to succeed Mike Fasano.
“When elected I plan on focusing on the needs of my district,” explained Amanda. “I will focus on eliminating road blocks to economic success for many of our Pasco families, such as repealing the nuclear recovery fee that exploits the wallets of Pasco families and taxpayers.”
She said she will also focus on lowering homeowners’ insurance rates, expanding insurance coverage to include sinkholes, and on fighting to restore education funding to her district. An alum of Gulf High School in New Port Richey, she graduated Florida State University with a Bachelor's in Political Science.
“Amanda is the right person to continue Mike Fasano’s legacy in representing this district,” said Leader-Designee Darryl Rouson. “She is an advocate who will fight tooth and nail to protect Pasco families and taxpayers.”
Murphy currently serves as a Board Member of Leadership Pasco, the Trinity Rotary, the Junior Service League, and the PACE Center for Girls. She also holds a position in the West Pasco Community Service Council and volunteers her time with the United Way.
