Donald Trump coming to Florida Panhandle
Next week is shaping up to be an active one for Sunshine State presidential campaigning. Marco Rubio plans to hold at least one event in Tampa Bay, a fundraising reception in Sarasota Monday, and Donald Trump is expected to hold a rally in Pensacola Wednesday, Jan. 13.
Trump's Florida team is aggressively targeting veterans, so Pensacola is a natural spot for him to hit, as well as his first north Florida campaign event.
Florida's primary is March 15, but Floridians will start casting votes well before then. Overseas mail ballots must be sent out by no later than Jan. 30 (two days before Iowa's caucuses) and domestic mail ballots will go out starting Feb. 9 (the same day New Hampshire holds its first-in-the-nation primary).
In person early voting in Florida begins March 5 and ends March 12.
