Donald Trump's last campaign press conference was in Miami
President-elect Donald Trump has yet to give a formal news conference as president-elect. The last time he convened reporters to ask questions was July 27 -- at his golf resort outside Miami.
That presser at Trump National Doral proved especially noteworthy: Trump called on Russia to find rival Hillary Clinton's missing emails from when she was secretary of state.
"Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," he said. "I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press."
The next day, Trump said his comment had been sarcastic.
The Democratic National Committee has started emailing reporters daily with an update on how many days have gone by without a Trump news conference: 125 as of Tuesday.
In 2008, President-elect Barack Obama held his first presser three days after the election.
