Florida congressional candidate blasts Obama's bathroom access directive in new radio ad
A North Florida congressional candidate has produced a radio ad blasting the Obama administration's transgender directive for bathroom access.
"This is Mary Thomas, Republican for Congress. I’m not just a conservative, I’m a Christian and a mom. Obama is forcing his left-wing social engineering agenda into our public schools, and playing politics with school funding. It’s outrageous! Men should use the men’s room. Women should use the women’s room. It’s just common sense. Why doesn't Obama get that?"
Thomas is running for the District 2 seat currently held by Gwen Graham. She's not the only candidate to jump on the issue.
Ken Sukhia, a former United States attorney, wrote a letter Monday to Gov. Rick Scott urging him to ignore the White House instructions. "I have never seen a president show such blatant contempt for the orderly processes of the law in furtherance of his radical and progressive agenda," the letter reads.
Another competitor, Neal Dunn, on Tuesday released an anti-Obamacare television ad.
