Florida delegation opens Cleveland events with warning Clinton could be next president
INDEPENDENCE, Ohio - Florida's delegation kicked off their convention events with a breakfast here that featured speakers Asa Hutchinson, Kevin McCarthy and Frank Luntz.
Luntz added humor with a "Lyin' Hillary" doll and said that he polled 1,000 women if they would have relations with Bill Clinton. "Twenty-one percent said 'never again.' "
He turned serious and the challenges facing the GOP. Asked how many in the crowd were under 30, only a few raised their hands. "We need your kids. And we need your grandkids," Luntz said.
Bernie Sanders, he said, may be old but tapped into the youth.
"I don't want us to be boring. I want us to be relevant," Luntz said. "We're not compelling enough. We're not visual enough."
Luntz said the party cannot continue to draw so little of the young vote and Hispanics. If that doesn't change, he said, Hillary Clinton is the next president.
