Former Hillsborough County judge Donald Castor is dead at 81
Former Hillsborough County Judge Donald F. Castor died today at age 81, according to his daughter, Rep. Kathy Castor.
"Congresswoman Castor and her family appreciate your thoughts and prayers for her father at this time. More information will be provided as it becomes available," read a brief statement.
Mr. Castor was Bay Area Legal Services’ first executive director and later served as a Hillsborough County Court Judge for 20 years.
His ex-wife is Betty Castor, former president of the University of South Florida and 2004 U.S. Senate candidate. Mr. Castor has another daughter, state Rep. Karen Castor Dentel, and a son, Frank Castor, a judge in West Palm Beach.
