George W. Bush says he's 'upbeat' about Jeb's chances
Former President George W. Bush sounded a confident note Friday to donors of his brother's campaign.
"I'm very upbeat about our chances of winning," he said, according to a person who was on the call. "Jeb is peaking at the right time."
That last point is hyperbole, of course, though Jeb Bush has felt more confident in recent weeks and had a solid debate Tuesday.
W also said his brother has a plan to defeat ISIS, played down early polls and stressed Jeb will outwork other candidates.
