GOP consultant Adam Goodman hits academia
It seems there's a reason Tampa-based media consultant Adam Goodman is sporting eye glasses. Presumably tweed is coming soon. From a release:
The Fletcher School at Tufts University today announced that national media consultant and television commentator Adam Goodman has been appointed as the first Senior Strategic Fellow at the Edward R. Murrow Center for a Digital World.
In this role, Goodman will contribute to the many activities of the Center, as well as be available to students for guidance on research and career options. He is the first in a small group of other senior fellows to be appointed by the Center.
“We are thrilled to add Adam Goodman to the Fletcher family as part of The Murrow Center,” said Edward Schumacher-Matos, Director of the Center. “He brings a lifetime of experience in media, strategic communications and politics — all of which will enrich our students and the vital research of the Center.”
“Adam brings a unique perspective and accomplishment in political and corporate communication,” said Admiral James Stavridis, Dean of The Fletcher School. “Students today are hungry to learn how to communicate to have impact. Having access to Adam will be a wonderful resource for them, and for the Center itself.”
“It’s an amazing honor to be associated with the talents and traditions of one of America’s finest graduate schools devoted to leadership and humanity,” said Goodman, who will actively join the university beginning in January. “I’m particularly thrilled to be a part of a team lead by Dean (and former Navy Admiral) James Stavridis, whose career defines excellence and commitment in public service.”
The Murrow Center explores the intersection of media, cyberspace and the state. Through a combination of original research, cutting-edge communications platforms and provocative event series, the Center is driving the conversation on the digital revolution’s impact in the international system.
Adam Goodman, The Victory Group’s principal creative, media and communications strategist, has been producing nationally-recognized, award winning work for issue, candidate and corporate campaigns across America for 38 years. Credited by Fox News with sculpting “a GOP road map to success” in 2014, Adam Goodman’s film and television work has been honored throughout the industry with Addys, Tellys, Hermes and Pollies. In 2016 he received praise for his detailed predictions on how Donald Trump would win the White House.
