Gov. Scott once took aim at mosquito districts as 'tax burden'
Gov. Rick Scott is holding Zika roundtables around Florida to elevate the level of communication and responsiveness to the dreaded virus, and local mosquito control officials usually have prominent seats at the table. But just a few years ago, those same officials were fighting for political survival after Scott targeted them for extinction, calling them a "tax burden" to Floridians.
