Ted Cruz in Goffstown, N.H., on Feb. 3, 2016

GOFFSTOWN, N.H. - Marc Patrick lives in San Diego but Wednesday found himself in a jam-packed restaurant here to see Ted Cruz. "I wanted to see the political process," the 34-year-old explained as Cruz's bus rolled up.

Patrick found out a reporter was from Florida and leaned in. "How did Jeb Bush ever get elected?" When asked what he meant, Patrick said he was going off Bush's uneven debate performances and overall lackluster showing in the presidential race.

"At first I was excited when Jeb Bush got in the race. He seemed like he had a lot of experience and would be a good candidate. I thought it would be a big matchup, you know, Clinton and Bush," Patrick said.

"But he just kind of tanked. He’s just not good in front of a camera. I’m sure he’s an accomplished guy, a big thinker and an intellectual, but he can’t convince people."

What about Marco Rubio? "I don't think he has a lot of experience. I'm looking for more."

His candidate? "Chris Christie. He’s got experience. He’s a good fighter, and he’s got the best chance of beating the Democrats."
