In first TV ad, Gwen Graham calls for 'the North Florida way' to solve problems in Washington
Gwen Graham, the Democrat challenging Rep. Steve Southerland, is out with her first TV ad, one that extols the “North Florida way” to break Washington gridlock.
“I know it's frustrating, but we've all had it up to here with Congress,” Graham says in the ad. “As the top negotiator for our local school system, it was my job to bring parents, teachers and administrators together. To cooperate, solve problems and do what was best for students.”
“Cooperation, not conflict,” she says. “More problem-solving, less partisanship. That's the North Florida way.”
The ad buy is about $100,000 and good for two weeks. The race is one to watch in Florida as Graham, daughter of former U.S. senator and Gov. Bob Graham, presents a solid challenge to Southerland, elected in 2010.
