Jeanette Rubio key to Marco Rubio's closing pitch to Florida voters
Marco Rubio is turning to his wife Jeanette Rubio to make a key pitch to voters in the final weeks of the campaign for U.S. Senate.
Jeanette Rubio is featured in a new ad released this morning by the Rubio campaign highlighting Marco Rubio's work on the Senate Foreign Relations committee as it relates to human trafficking.
In the ad, she highlights a bill Rubio co-sponsored with New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen called the Girls Count Act. That bill, signed into law last year requires U.S. foreign assistance programs to fix deficiencies in birth registration systems in developing countries where human trafficking is an epidemic.
"It doesn’t sound like much, but that one thing could save thousands of girls, and even if it just saves one, it is truly a blessing,” Jeanette Rubio says in the 30 second ad.
