Mack endorses Clawson for his old seat
Former Rep. Connie Mack today endorsed Curt Clawson in the race for Congressional District 19, a big pickup for Clawson who has been spending big but also drawn the attention of a new Super PAC attacking his business credentials.
Curt Clawson is a businessman who has experience in making tough decisions to cut spending and save jobs. There aren’t too may former CEO’s of $2.2 billion companies with experience at that level who are willing to offer themselves as a candidate for Congress," Mack, who held the seat before Trey Radel, said in a statement.
Clawson in return embraced Mack's "Penny Plan" for deficit reduction.
The Super PAC today stepped up its effort, buying additional TV time and spending on direct mail, FEC report show.
