Majority of Cuban Americans support diplomatic thaw, poll shows
Fifty-six percent of Cuban-Americans support President Obama’s decision to normalize relations with Cuba, according to a new poll.
The survey from Bendixen & Amandi echoes others that have shown acceptance of the diplomatic thaw. It puts politicians such as Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush on the opposite side of popular opinion.
Among those age 18-49, support is at 77 percent. It drops to 48 percent among people age 50-64 and 41 percent for those 65 or older.
Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of Obama's policy.
