Marco Rubio builds drama around his decision

We all wait for Him.

It's Day Two of qualifying week and Marco Rubio has not said whether he'll run for re-election or stick with a long-held plan to leave office. He has a lot to consider, but Rubio knows his decision has deep ramifications for fellow Republicans in the race.

Chiefly there is Rep. Ron DeSantis, who will have to make a quick pivot to run for the House again. He's expected to enter the race to replace retiring Rep. Ander Crenshaw of Jacksonville.

Rubio's staff has not responded to messages today about the timing of his decision. "When I make a decision and I'm ready to announce, I'll tell you," Rubio told a CNN reporter who caught him in the Capitol today.

UPDATE: Rubio spokesman Alex Burgos said this afternoon, "Nothing new." He did not say when Rubio will decide.
