Marco Rubio says he'll live up to pledge but maintains distance with Donald Trump
Marco Rubio said on CNN moments ago he will live up to his pledge to support the GOP nominee but the former presidential contender reiterated his reservations about Donald Trump.
"I signed a pledge, put my name on it, and said I would support the Republican nominee and that's what I intend to do," Rubio said.
Asked if he would vote for Trump, Rubio said he wouldn't be voting for Hillary Clinton and would vote for the Republican nominee.
"I stand by the things that I said" during the campaign. "But I'm not going to sit here right now and become his chief critic over the next six months, because he deserves the opportunity to go forward and make his argument and try to win."
He also told Jake Tapper he has not made a decision whether to attend the GOP convention in July.
