Murphy campaign touts new polls showing them in the lead
U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy is touting a pair of polls that he says shows he's leading over fellow Democrat U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson in their primary battle for the U.S. Senate.
Murphy's campaign is heralding a News 13/Bay News 9 poll of 592 likely Democratic primary voters that shows him with 27 percent of the vote. Grayson received 16 percent. Another 11 percent said they would pick Pam Keith. But the poll also shows voters are still very much undecided in the contest. The poll showed 46 percent chose other or undecided.
Another poll by Noticias Univision and The Washington Post also shows Murphy leading. That poll of 450 registered Democrats showed 36 percent supported Murphy. Twenty nine percent backed Grayson. Another 30 percent didn't choose either.
