On this Americans are united: Trump should stop tweeting
America has a message for Donald Trump: Stop tweeting.
Sixty-nine percent of respondents in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll said that Trump’s tweeting is bad, agreeing with the statement that “in an instant, messages can have unintended major implications without careful review.”
"Like it or not," said Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Miami, "you can't deny it works for him."
"I don't have an issue with him using Twitter. It's a modern way of communicating," said Bryan Donathan, 33, an independent voter from Lutz who supported Trump despite lingering reservations.
"But there needs to be someone there watching him, telling him, 'Hey, you shouldn't say this or you shouldn't say that.' It's sad you have to say that about a president but unfortunately, that's the world we live in now."
In a Fox & Friends interview that aired this morning, Trump was asked if he would continue.
"Yes." he said. "Look, I don't like Tweeting. I have other things I could be doing. But I get very dishonest media, very dishonest press. And it's my only way that I can counteract."
