Outside ad spending to target Southerland-Graham race, Joe Garcia

The Democratic House Majority PAC announced ad reservations in a number of competitive seats nationally, including the Gwen Graham-Steve Southerland race in north Florida.

The group said it had reserved $352,000 in air time in Panama City and Tallahassee for the final weeks of November. That’s on top of the $244,000 it had already allocated. All told, House Majority PAC says it has devoted more than $12.5 million for the midterms.

Meantime, the NRCC today said it would spend $900,000 defending Southerland. The group also pledged $1.4 million targeting the seat held by Democratic Rep. Joe Garcia of Miami. Notably missing from the NRCC's list: Rep. Patrick Murphy, the Democrat who defeated Allen West. A weak GOP field seems to have left national Republicans thinking their money would be wisely used elsewhere.
