Political Connections Sun: David Jolly on the sanctity of marriage and being from Pinellas
David Jolly, the Republican nominee to succeed the late C.W. Bill Young in Pinellas County's Congressional District 13, appears Sunday on Political Connections on Bay News 9. He accuses Democrat Alex Sink of ducking debates and joint appearances, clarifies his position on same-sex marriage, and hammers Sink for having spoken favorably about many Americans potentially choosing to work fewer hours to take advantage of health insurance subsidies under the Affordable Care Act.
"She thinks it's okay that now 2.3-million people will be more dependent on government. You can define it however you want. She thinks it's a good thing. She called it an 'exciting prospect,' " Jolly said. "I suppose if it was 10 million more people depending on government she'd get giddy about it."
