President Obama to campaign for Clinton next week in Florida
President Obama will campaign Thursday in South Florida for Hillary Clinton, following through on a planned visit that had been scrapped due to Hurricane Matthew.
"At a public event, President Obama will lay out the high stakes of November's election for Florida families and highlight Clinton's vision for an America that is stronger together, with an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top," the Clinton campaign said. "With more people voting in this election than any in history, President Obama will urge Florida voters to take advantage of in-person early voting, which begins in Florida on Monday, October 24."
A location has not been set.
Obama had been scheduled to visit Miami on Oct. 5. He was also going to deliver a speech at University of South Florida on the Affordable Care Act. That health care speech will now be given Thursday at Miami Dade College, according to a White House official.
