Radel's $250 drug buy to cost Florida taxpayers $1.5 million
The $250 "8-ball" of cocaine that brought down Trey Radel will cost taxpayers significantly more.
A special election in Lee and Collier counties will cost about $1.5 million, according to the Naples Daily News. The primary, which will likely decide the outcome in the GOP heavy district, is set for April 22. Candidates include Paige Kreegel, a former state representative, and Curt Clawson, a former Purdue basketball player who is trying to gain name ID with an ad during the Super Bowl. Look this week for state Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto to make a move.
