Republican primary for Congressional District 13 today in Pinellas County

14

January

Registered Republican voters in most areas of Pinellas County can go to the polls today to vote for one of the candidates running for Congress: Mark Bircher, David Jolly or Kathleen Peters.

The winner will become the Republican nominee and face Democrat Alex Sink and Libertarian Lucas Overby in the March 11 general election. This is a special election triggered by the death of longtime U.S. Rep. C.W. Bill Young. The polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Today’s election is open only to voters who are registered Republicans in Pinellas’ Congressional District 13, which extends from the county’s southern tip to Dunedin, minus portions of downtown and southern St. Petersburg.

To find out if you are in that district, go to votepinellas.com and click on “find your precinct,” or call (727) 464-8683 .
