Rick Scott to chair Trump super PAC
Gov. Rick Scott will serve as national chairman for Rebuilding America, a super PAC supporting Donald Trump.
The group made the announcement tonight via Twitter.
Scott spoke last week at the Republican National Convention.
“It’s time for us to fire the politicians," he said in a statement from the super PAC. "That’s what this election is all about, and that’s why I am excited to chair the Rebuilding America Now Super PAC to help Donald Trump. If you like the way things are going in our country today, you should absolutely vote for Hillary Clinton. If you don’t, you must vote for Donald Trump.
"Last night Bill Clinton made a laughable attempt to label Hillary a ‘change-maker.’ Everyone in the world knows that she will be just more of the same.
“I’ve known Donald for about 20 years, long before either of us ever ran for office. He is a businessman and an outsider and he will bring the major change to Washington that our country needs right now. Donald’s race is also a lot like my race for Governor. No one said I had a chance of beating the career politicians when I ran, but I won anyway. We are going to win this Presidential race too.”
