Rubio: No one running for president has presidential experience
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Marco Rubio has an answer for the governors saying he lacks experience to be president: "No one running for president has presidential experience. Being president is nothing like being governor. It's nothing like being a senator."
Rubio continued: "Barack Obama is not a bad president because he lacks experience. He now has seven years of presidential experience and he's worse today than he was in his first year. He's a bad president becuase he has bad ideas and bad ideology ..."
The 44-year-old first-term U.S. senator offered that up at a town hall at Saint Anselm College. Rubio then went on to tougt a number of things he has worked on in the Senate, from VA legislation to the Obamcare "risk corridors," repeating a discredited claim that he "led" on that issue.
Unmentioned: His authorship of the Gang of 8 immigration bill.
But the answer shows how prepared he is for the experience question and Obama comparisons. Rubio has been developing the response for quite some time and it rolled off naturally.
