Rubio sparks a Twitter debate about CVS and pot
Sen. Marco Rubio used Twitter to weigh in on CVS' big decision yesterday. "Many of the same people applauding #CVS for not selling tobacco are ok with making it easier to buy and smoke pot. #makesnosense."
That brought a predictable rain of comments from people all over the country. Some were supportive, many mocked Rubio or defended marijuana's medicinal qualities.
@marcorubio Smoking pot is good for you--use a vaporizer--it's the rolling paper that is bad. Try some--it'll straighten your twisted mind.— BarrysBeanies.com (@awebbiz) February 6, 2014
@marcorubio Marijuana is a healing medicine with zero side effects. Nicotine is literally a poison. That's the difference.— Nathan Cline (@ClineNathanB) February 6, 2014
@marcorubio funny how the same crowd that cheered Chik-Fil-A for its 'anti-gay' stance are booing CVS for the same kind of decision.— ThinkingWeasel (@ThinkingWeasel) February 6, 2014
@marcorubio CVS is making room on their shelves for pot, bongs, and pipes. Bigger profits I'd say. Even the President says it okay. Sad.— D (@confusedabout) February 6, 2014
@marcorubio pot should be legal. Listen to the poeple. We want it.— 81 (@SmokingBaby81) February 6, 2014
