Rubio tells crowd Boehner is resigning and gets wild applause
Marco Rubio's speech before the Value Voters Summit this morning was laced with applause lines. But nothing came close to when Rubio told the crowd that House Speaker John Boehner was resigning -- news that broke as Rubio took the stage at a hotel in Washington.
Audience members jumped from their seats and cheered wildly. Rubio tried not to seem to excited himself, saying he wasn't there to bash anyone. But he quickly added that it was time to "turn the page."
