Rubio: 'Vast majority of Americans' won't care about Melania Trump plagiarism
Marco Rubio defended Melania Trump, saying the alleged plagiarism is an issue that won't matter to "the vast majority of Americans."
"I think we got a chance to meet her last night ... and hear her story," Rubio said on CNN. "I think that's what's really going to matter to voters. Probably not the political punditry class, but to voters."
Jake Tapper asked if Rubio would be upset if a teacher said one of his children plagiarised. "I would, but that's different from what you're asking. Last night was a convention speech and one that I don't think she claims to have written." He said whoever wrote it probably wishes he or she had chosen different words.
