Sanders-Clinton supporters to join in Florida for 'unity' events
Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton supporters are coming together in Florida Tuesday for “unity” phone banking.
The "Stronger Together" events will gather supporters at house parties, cookouts and phone banks, a Democratic planner says.
“Each event will be co-chaired by one Clinton and one Sanders supporter - comprised of local community leaders and elected officials. Organizers and participants will discuss what's at stake this election, issues that unite Democrats, and ways to win in November and defeat Donald Trump.”
Planned events include Tuesday phone bank in Pembroke Pines featuring Sanders supporter and Broward County DEC Chair Cynthia Busch and Clinton endorser and Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank Ortis.
Other events are scheduled for Tallahassee, Miami, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville.
