Scott assesses storm damage in northeast Florida
Gov. Rick Scott is scheduled to spend most of the early part of his day assessing damage from Hurricane Matthew in northeast Florida.
His staff has put out a schedule that showed he already toured damage from Daytona Beach to Jacksonville, via the air. After a press conference in Jacksonville, Scott is scheduled to get back in the air to view damage from Jacksonville to Fernandina Beach.
Later Scott has scheduled to meet with emergency officials in Nassau County, north of Jacksonville. So far, Scott has no other events on his schedule after 12:15 p.m.
