Trump supporters plan 'peaceful army' for delegate selection in Hialeah on Saturday
About 75 Donald Trump supporters, many wearing 'Women for Trump' shirts, met last night at a Wings Plus in Coral Springs and discussed plans to bring a "peaceful army" to a delegate selection event Saturday in Hialeah. The strategy session coincided with a book signing by Roger Stone.
"The GOP will be selecting the delegates in a smokey back room and making their deals," an organizer tells the Buzz. "And if they are consistent with other Florida (congressional district) delegate selections, the outcome will not reflect the will of the voters."
Trump supporters have complained about delegate selections, asserting the deck is being stacked against the front-runner. The argument matches what Trump is saying, though GOP leaders are counter that he has failed to invest in a ground organization and that protests like those in Florida are manufactured.
On Saturday, Republicans will gather at Oliva Cigar Co. in Hialeah to pick delegates for Congressional District 23, 24 and 25.
