Trump taps fellow Florida resident Wilbur Ross for commerce secretary
Part-time Florida resident Wilbur Ross has been tapped by Donald Trump as commerce secretary.
Ross, 78, has a home near Trump in Palm Beach and also resided in New York. He’s a billionaire “king of bankruptcy” investor known for buying companies on the cheap.
"Part of the reason why I'm supporting Trump is that I think we need a more radical, new approach to government — at least in the U.S. — from what we've had before," Ross told CNBC in June.
