The Washington Post obtained explosive audio of Donald Trump describing how he tried to "move on" an unnamed woman in Palm Beach.

It was not Trump's wife Melania, whom he married several months before.

“I moved on her and I failed. I’ll admit it,” Trump is heard saying. “I did try and f--- her. She was married."

Trump was unaware his microphone was on. He was talking with Billy Bush of “Access Hollywood” on a bus as they arrived on the set of “Days of Our Lives” to tape a segment about Trump’s upcoming cameo on the soap opera, according to the Post.

“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married,” Trump says. “Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”

In a statement released by the campaign, Trump said:

“This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course -- not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.”

UPDATE: The woman has been identified as Nancy O'Dell.
