Video: Marco Rubio says people shouldn't run 'just because there's an open position'

The big question in Florida politics right now is whether Marco Rubio will run for re-election or leave the Senate.

Last month at a Forum Club of the Palm Beaches event, the senator gave some hints about his philosophy on elections:

"Don't just run because there's an open position and you can win," Rubio said. "Because if you run for something because it's open and you can win you're going to regret that decision. You're going to get there you're going to be bored. You're going to be antsy. You're not going to like it.

"And by the way it's going to come across on the campaign trail."

You can watch the 25-second video below. It was captured and posted on YouTube by Barry Gold, a "tracker" hired to follow candidates (or potential candidates in this case) and record their every move.

The speech was May 27, as Republicans were starting to push Rubio into the race, seeing him as their best hope for holding the seat.

So...will he run? Or does he think he might "regret that decision"?
