Wasserman Schultz demanded MSNBC host apologize for saying she should resign as head of DNC
Debbie Wasserman Schultz demanded MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski apologize after the Morning Joe host said she should resign as head of the Democratic National Committee.
"This is the LAST straw. Please call Phil a Griffin. This is outrageous. She needs to apologize," Wasserman Schultz wrote in an email to the DNC spokesman Luis Miranda.
Hundreds of DNC emails were made public by WikiLeaks and they lend fuel to the bitterness between the commitee and Bernie Sanders' campaign. In another email, Wasserman Schultz describes as "silly" a story about Sanders as president. "He isn't going to be president," she wrote to Miranda.
Wasserman Schultz appeared at Hillary Clinton's rally today in Miami, but as the convention is set to open, expect to hear lots of criticism about the Floridian.
