The campaign picture for the special election to succeed the late U.S. Rep. C.W. Bill Young got a little clearer Saturday with news that former St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker will not run, and that former Young general counsel David Jolly will. But if you're having trouble keeping up with who's in and who's out, here's today's list:
Who's in: David Jolly, lobbyist and former general counsel to Young.
Who's considering: Frank Hibbard, former Clearwater mayor; Neil Brickfield, former Pinellas County Commissioner; Karen Seel, Pinellas County Commissioner; Bob Gualtieri, Pinellas County Sheriff; Sonya March, former U.S. Senate candidate; Michael Pinson, publisher; Tom Young, Rep. Young's brother.
Who's out: former St. Petersburg Mayor Baker; Clearwater Mayor George Cretekos; former state Rep. Larry Crow; Bill Young II, Rep. Young's son; Beverly Young, Rep. Young's widow.
Who's in: Alex Sink, 2010 Democratic gubernatorial nominee and former chief financial officer for Florida; Jessica Ehrlich, a St. Petersburg lawyer who also ran for the seat in 2012.
Who's out: Pinellas County Commissioners Charlie Justice and Janet Long.
Libertarian Lucas Overby is running as well.
