Winner and loser of the week in Fla politics
Winner of the week: Marco Rubio. Proving himself a money-raising machine, the prospective presidential candidate raised a whopping $2.28 million in the first quarter of the year. It's too early to know how much his immigration reform efforts will hurt him on the right, but Rubio aggressively and skillfully pushed back against critics and skeptics last week.
Loser of the week: Rick Kriseman. The former state representative and St. Petersburg City Council member's challenge in unseating St. Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster became a lot tougher with the entry of Kathleen Ford into the race. Kriseman and Ford are likely to compete for many of the same voters and divide the anti-Foster pool.
