Winner and loser of the week in Fla politics
WINNERS OF THE WEEK:
Will Weatherford. Wouldn't it be nice to make more than $80,000 off of nebulous jobs you won't or can't explain? On top of that taxpayers subside your terrific health care plan that costs only $30 a month for your large family. Hard to see how anyone could think you're out of touch with most Floridians. League of Women Voters, Republican legislative leaders have so far spent more than $1.3 million in taxpayer money defending the way they drew state Senate and congressional district maps last year. But the Florida Supreme Court ruled 5-2 that a lawsuit by the League and other groups arguing that the maps violate the Constitution's new "Fair Districts" mandate can move forward in the lower courts.
LOSER OF THE WEEK:
William "Hoe" Brown. Along with Tampa Port Authority chairman, elite Republican fundraiser, and Republican state committeeman, Brown can add "slumlord" to his resume after the Tampa Bay Times revealed the squalid and illegal rental properties he owns
